It was 7.40 in the morning. We met again at the usual starting place in front of MDKT Office just off the Jalan Padang.
There were five of us. We set out our route to Kg Sungai Berangan Nam Heng, Kota Tinggi.
Our starting point. Busy with activities. The 5 storey building at the back is the Bangunan Sultan Iskandar where most of the government Departments are located
We cycled on the main road (Kota Tinggi - Johor Bahru) to Ladang R.E.M. (an oil palm estate belong's to Kulim Group about 6km from Bandar Kota Tinggi).
We passed the estate guard post and after few hundred meters, we were off road on farmtrack. We headed for the Nam Heng Country Club.
After a few good road climbs followed by smooth and rough descents we reached the Kg Sungai Berangan.
Resting for a few minutes we cycled back to Bandar Kota Tinggi. To keep with tradition we stopped for usual milo 'o'/teh tarik and capati/roti canai at a mamak restaurant in Taman Daiman Jaya. Total distance covered 24.6km.
Just follows the sign to Nam Heng Country Club. You won't get lost
"Puffff...." Climbing steadily. Wan Aziz, Cikgu Tan and Halim
"I think we lost them....no, no they lost us". Halid and Wan Aziz
"Badang". A 3 wheel "tractor" used to transport oil palm fruits to the collection centres before being sent to oil palm mill. Take note of the "driver". Very relax
WARNING: Be careful. Reduce speed. Deer crossing ahead
"Oooweeeeeya! .... mission accomplished". Halid, Cikgu Tan, Wan Aziz and Halim
