Cycling activity on Saturday 13/3/2010

It was 7.40 am in front of MDKT Office, Jalan Padang. The sun was shining brightly. Four of us ( Cikgu Tan, Awie, Halid and myself) still waiting for our "Boss" Wan Aziz to turn up.
After 10 minutes of waiting we decided to cycle without him. (Reminder to Wan Aziz. "Boss"...failure to turn up next week without valid reasons, your name would be struck out from the group list and Cikgu Tan would take over as new "Boss")

Place where our group would assemble to receive instructions from the "Boss" for activity of the day.

One of the best things about our cycling activities, we would try to follow different routes to enjoy the beautiful scenery and forested areas around Kota Tinggi.
As for this Saturday, we cycled along the main road to Air Terjun Kota Tinggi. After Pekan Simpang Empat we turned to Kg Temenin Baru where there were many homestay operators here.

Awie, Halid and myself. The people in Kg Temenin involved in homestay business offering accomodation in a kampung house. They would organize cultural shows which include silat, gasing spinning and kompang for the visitors.

Part of view Kg Temenin. We enjoyed cycling here as there were so much to see and the air so fresh.

We came out of Kg Temenin to the main trunk road and reached Kg Lukut. Another nice area. We went inside to enjoy the scenery and then followed an oil palm estate road which brought us out to main road to Bandar Kota Tinggi.

Traditional house. My observation this house was constructed without any nails. All using timber joints.

On the way back we passed the Lukut Industrial Area and Kg Lukut Cina. We made right turn to Taman Mawai and Taman Aman to town centre.

There are 4 electronic firms operating. I noticed that most of the workers were from Nepal

Both Tamans prone to flood. During the last big floods (2007) all the houses were about 9ft under water

We reached Bandar Kota Tinggi and felt great

We decided to have our breakfast and chat at Jalil's Family Corner, Bangunan Aked Mara. We have cycled for distance of 29.81km.
